Secure Two-Factor Authentication for Firefox
Open Two-Factor Authenticator is a Firefox extension designed to enhance security by implementing Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for web services. It securely stores user credentials in a local directory, encrypting them with a passkey to ensure safety across multiple devices. This functionality allows users to sync their credentials while maintaining the integrity of their secure tokens.
As this is the initial release, users should be aware of potential bugs and are advised to keep original QR codes for backup. Users might encounter issues with the QR code scanning feature, which may not always capture codes accurately. In such cases, a manual input option is available, allowing users to paste the string directly. Users are encouraged to report any bugs on the designated GitHub repository to facilitate future improvements.
